We are stronger together!
For centuries, LGBT people have been harassed, beaten and killed. Fear for our lives has kept many of us in the closet and worse, isolated and alone.
In isolation, you spend your time swimming around trying to conform to other people’s agendas and policies.
Alone, you are vulnerable to the sharks and bullies of society like Fred Phelps and the National Organization for Marriage.
We have lived in fear and isolation far too long!
I don’t know about you, but I am tired of swimming around and looking over my shoulder in fear.
We have to work together and take collective action. It takes hard work, but we are used to working hard.
Collective action takes a huge investment in relationships day after day. Relationships are the foundation of a community.
When you invest in relationships, you can harness diverse perspective to create a better way forward. It is easier to let go of your individual agenda and create a collective, more powerful agenda.
When we take collective action as a community, we can fight back. We can make Nebraska a great place.
