Picture a grin from ear to ear, eyes wide open, skin flushed, and beads of sweat starting to form; now get your mind out of the gutter.
I am excited to bring you the launch of 'the face of gay,' touchemag.com. Designed and aimed at being an online voice for the LGBT community of Nebraska, we will offer features and interviews on community members, localized and relevant news stories, bloggers from around the state, a centralized calendar of events, and the resources and contact information for everything 'gay.'
Are you a writer? A photographer? A designer? A blogger? A model? A resource?
You're two clicks and a few keystrokes away from getting your name out there, being a visible member of the community and aiding what is sure to be a refreshing change for all of us. So write me what you would like to see or what you want to do to be involved. We can't give you what you want if we can't hear you.
Looking back to 2008 and 2009, I am reminded of the sheer fervor I not only had, but of that returned to me at touché events in Lincoln, Omaha and Grand Island. While this idea—this project—lay dormant for two and half years, my desire to provide an outlet and a voice for our community has not diminished.
“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.” —Robert F. Kennedy.
I'm thinking big, and I refuse to let everything out of the bag at once. Start looking for more and more, and doggone it...get excited!
Cheers,
